Built by people who got burned, for people who refuse to be

Robert and Noah hired a contractor for a project of their own. He was attentive and professional until he had 75 percent of the money in hand. Then he disappeared, leaving an unfinished job and an empty deposit. That is the same experience hundreds of South Jersey homeowners have already lived through. So they started South Jersey Sunrooms and Decks. Not to scale, not to franchise. To be the veteran-owned contractor they wished they had hired the first time. Robert served in the U.S. Air Force before building a career in engineering, manufacturing, and construction. He knows how a structure goes together, what permits are there to protect, and what it takes to build something that holds up for 30 years. Noah brings national experience with LivingSpace Sunroom dealers on marketing and operations. He saw what separates the best outdoor living companies from the rest, and built those standards into this company from day one. Together, they bring more than 30 years of combined experience to every job.

Four Commitments

Four commitments you can hold us to.

Not a sales pitch. Four working rules we apply on every project, every time, with no exceptions. Hold us to them.

We finish what we start

This is the core of who we are, and the founding story explains why. A job that begins with South Jersey Sunrooms and Decks ends with South Jersey Sunrooms and Decks. You are not chasing us for a punch list, and you are not paying anyone else to clean up our work.

Detail photograph illustrating: Real permits on every project

Real permits on every project

We pull every permit your project requires, on every project, every time. Unpermitted work creates problems at resale, voids homeowner insurance, and skips the code inspections that protect you. We do not take shortcuts here.

Detail photograph illustrating: One accountable point of contact

One accountable point of contact

You work with us, not a rotating cast of subcontractors or project managers. When you have a question, you know exactly who to call. When something changes on site, you hear it from us first, in plain English.

Detail photograph illustrating: Transparent payment schedule

Transparent payment schedule

Our payment milestones are tied to the work, not to our cash flow. You do not pay for work that has not been done, and the entire schedule is written into the proposal before any tools come out of the truck.

From the first walkthrough to your final sign-off

Free Consultation

We start with a no-pressure conversation at your home. We look at the space, talk through your goals, and make sure we understand exactly what you want before we put together a proposal. No high-pressure pitch at the end.

Design and Proposal

You receive a detailed, written proposal with clear scope, materials, payment milestones, and timeline. Nothing is open-ended. You know exactly what you are getting, what it costs, and when each milestone hits before you commit to anything.

Professional Installation

Every project is built to NJ UCC code with the required permits pulled and inspections scheduled. We coordinate everything (permit applications, inspections, deliveries, site cleanup) so you do not have to manage it yourself.

Final Walkthrough

We do not consider a project done until you do. We walk the finished work with you, answer every question, and make sure you are completely satisfied before we consider the job closed. Your sign-off, not ours.

Questions homeowners ask us

  • Do you pull permits for every project?
Yes, on every project, every time. Unpermitted work creates resale problems, can void homeowner insurance, and skips the code inspections that protect you. We handle the permit applications and schedule the inspections as part of the job.
  • Do I have to be home during the work?
You do not need to be home every day, which is helpful for shore homeowners and clients with full work schedules. We coordinate with you at the key milestones (kickoff, rough framing, inspections, final walkthrough) and send photo updates so you always know where the project stands.
  • What happens if something goes wrong after the project is finished?
Our written workmanship guarantee means we stand behind every job. If something is not right after we wrap, you contact us directly and we come back out to make it right. You are not chasing a subcontractor or a call center.
  • How is the veteran discount applied?
5 percent off the total project cost for verified veterans and active-duty military. Verification is simple: a DD214 or current military ID. Tell us when you reach out and we apply it to the proposal before you sign anything.
